Meet Harvey, My Eichholtz Dream

Meet Harvey, My Eichholtz Dream

This is the coffee table I have been dreaming about since I got my own house, which is about 4 years ago.. I have had it in my head ever since I saw a similar table at the house of my in laws which I loved.. They have this big rectangle coffe table by Jan de Bouvrie, which is a well known Dutch architect and interior designer. It had a silver/chrome frame and also a mirrored bottom layer and glass upper layer so you can see all the nice coffee table books. Since I'm more into warm colors and gold, I decided table had to be with a golden toned framewerk.

Years went by with me not finding anything that was even close to what I was looking for.. Until the day a friend of mine introduced me to this brand called Eichholtz! I had seen some items of this brand here and there but I never knew the brands name. I think it was because a few years ago they didn't really make furniture that I really loved. However, when I heard about Eichholtz again, I went and looked them up online and literally was amazed by their diverse and beautiful collection!

ANDDDD #drumrollssss, It was on their website where I found my dream! The coffee table I now own so proudly! This is such a smart, luxurious, modern and chique looking table. Eichholtz named it "Harvey", which is just the perfect name.  It could easily be an item in the office of the Suits character Harvey Specter. I don't know if there actually is a link between the two, it's just something that came to my mind when I saw the name.

It is kind of an expensive piece that I definitely had to save up for (the table retails for € 2400), but I felt it was all worth it. In my home I really like to mix more expensive pieces with cheaper furniture, simply because I can not afford to buy it all. It's also a way to accentuate the more expensive items and make them stand out more. A lamp is also an item that can really upgrade the look and feel of your living room.

When Harvey arrived my whole living room felt so in tune, also because I already had 2 golden side tables. Those side tables were once part of the Hugo Boss Christmas window where I used to work. I had my eye on them and they weren't using them the following year and so I was super happy I could have them for my own little home. I love the way that bright colors look on the gold, it makes it all look so luxurious.

What do you think of my coffee table and side table combo?
