La Mamounia is a luxury hotel with a great history! This hotel opend it's doors for the first time in 1923. It was created by French architects in a way that combined traditional Moroccan themes with a light touch of Art Deco.
The hotel was renovated and reopend in 2010. During the renovation craftsmen laid millions of hand-cut tiles, pieced together wood-marquetry walls, carved ornate designs into plaster columns and made hundreds of handmade lanterns. Thanks to them, this palace is once again a vibrant celebration of the city’s past, present and future, displaying Moroccan style, complete with beautiful patterns and arabesques based on Berber and Arab-Andalusian traditions.
I was invited by La Mamounia to have a wonderful lunch at their poolside glamour restaurant called 'La Pavillion'. Their fruity cocktails are the best and the food was simply delicious! After lunch I visted their colorful garden where I found cute little Gomez (French Bulldog) art everywhere I looked!
After that tasty lunch, I took some time to relax by the pool and enjoyed the sun.
Have you ever been to La Mamounia?
