My Love For Laduree
Laduree is a real must to go to when you're in Paris. They have the best macarons in the most beautiful colors. If you're planning on getting these world famous macarons or their delicious pastry, keep in mind you will probably have to wait in line for a while. People from all over the world come to get these delicious treats, so you know it will be worth the wait.
For my birthday we went to have breakfast at the Laduree near place de la Madeleine on Rue Royal. This Laduree has two entries. One is for the pastry and the other one is for the restaurant. The restaurant is so beautiful, it looks like a movie setting or like a room in the Palace of Versailles. There are big mirrors in golden frames and painted ceilings with angel babies! A little kitsch but I LOVE it!
We both ordered a breakfast menu with scrambled eggs, bread, pastry, croissants, fresh grapefruit juice, coffee and fresh fruit. The eggs were a bit mushy but the rest was delicious! I was super full and ready for a long, energetic day of birthday fun!

Of course I had to have the famous Laduree macarons too! On the third and last day in Paris I bought a box full of deliciousness. I also got two gorgeous little tarts for our 2.5 hour train-ride back home.
Because my boyfriends' parents watched our Frenchie while we were in Paris, we also got them a box of colorful macarons.
I love sharing my macarons and discuss the taste of all the different flavors. When I'm alone I like to eat them in the afternoon with a cup of green tea, while reading some magazines. How do u like to eat yours?
